The 2021 National Census of Population and Housing runs from April 1.
Why is the census important to all of us?
Because its results allow us to respond to our needs at the local and global level. They constitute a determinant for creating budgets by local governments and the basis for determining the amount of state subsidies or subsidies for communes and provinces.

The results obtained from the Census are used by key ministries to plan activities in the field of education, health protection, social security, food policy, finance, spatial development, housing needs and water and sewage management.
Statistical information obtained through the census, necessary to submit applications and prepare project feasibility studies or to create business plans, are used by entrepreneurs and beneficiaries of European funds under Regional Operational Programs (ROP).
The amount of EU subsidies and the number of seats in the European Parliament depend, inter alia, on on the number of inhabitants, determined by the results of the last census.
