Rio
One day in June, a Miracle happened. Rio went home. This dog, about a year old, was unlucky at the beginning of his life. Most likely he was hit by a car. He had a multi-fragment pelvic fracture. He couldn't walk. He was dragging the whole rear behind him. Damaged nerves meant that the dog could not hold its tail up, he could not do the so-called contracture and healed under himself. Rio was not allowed to leave his kennel for six weeks. This wonderful little Yorkshire Terrier went to the shelter for Homeless Animals in Tatars near Nidzica. It is much better today. Rio runs like crazy as if he wants to make up the six weeks he has been enslaved. It moves efficiently with four limbs. It behaves like a normal healthy dog. However, poorly functioning sphincters and the related ability to control their physiological needs remain a problem. Rio is under the care of neurologists and physiotherapists. Tests done using a CT and MRI showed that he had a hematoma that presses on his spinal cord. Hence the problem with the control of physiology. Rio underwent a series of treatments using a magnetic field, a water treadmill and lasers. Due to rehabilitation, Rio does not drag his limbs around, as after an accident, he walks without problems, and even runs! Unfortunately, the sphincters are still not functioning properly. Rio won the Heart of Mrs. Magdalena, who was not discouraged in any way by the fact that this young dog requires special care and she adopted this wonderful, energetic baby. Today Rio is a happy, beloved dog. We hope that someday he will be able to regain full fitness. Mrs. Magdalena, you are an Extraordinary Person, Thank you for saving Rio.
