Kolejna akcja mobilnej sterylizacji za nami.

Another mobile sterilization campaign is behind us.

Another mobile sterilization campaign is behind us. We went to the Kozłowo commune in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The action was possible thanks to the funds obtained from the NOWEFIO project.

A day of very intense work resulted in 53 castrated animals. Castration procedures were performed on: 15 females, 9 males, 23 females and 6 males. Three pregnant cats, a female with a tumor and a hernia, found the operating table. There were dogs in the hair of several cats and tapeworms inside their bodies. These animals were given appropriate anti-parasitic agents. 24 animals were tagged and entered in the register of animals.

During the campaign, we were unexpectedly visited by Agnieszka Lechowicz, the President of the Animal Defense Association from Jędrzejów, which is the owner of the sterile bus we use, and a representative of the Zwierz Foundation.

The action in Kozłów was very popular. About 140 animals were registered for the treatments. Unfortunately, we were unable to perform the treatments on all animals in such a short time. If the Kozlov authorities are willing to cooperate, we may come back to this commune next year.

We would like to thank the whole team for their great commitment, professionalism and several hours of work during the campaign. Our People are the Best, and we take great pride in being and contributing together to reduce homelessness! Dr. Mariusz, Mrs. Dr. Marysia, Mrs. Technician Ania, Sylwia, Elu, Marcin, Kubo, Marto, Justyna, Wiktoria, Mrs. Dorothy, Thank you for your time and work. We would like to thank Ola for cookies and Ewa for a delicious dinner, which strengthened the strained forces of the sterile bus team. We would like to thank the Head of the Commune and Employees of Kozłowo Commune for preparing the campaign.

On July 10 and 11, 2021 in Nowy Dłutów, a mobile sterilization campaign for dogs and cats was carried out in the commune of Lidzbark, co-financed by the Social Initiatives Fund - New FIO.

The campaign was organized by the Association of the Guard for the Protection of Nature and Animal Rights with its seat in Dąbrówno and the Mayor of Lidzbark. The members of the Psia Przystań Association in Lidzbark were also very active in organizing the campaign.

The turnout was great again. A total of 85 animals were treated, including 29 females, 11 dogs, 32 females (including five pregnant) and 13 males. A female with an enlarged spleen, tumors on the milk bar and umbilical hernia, a female with mammary gland cancer, tumors in the abdominal cavity and uterine tumors came to the operating table. Several animals had to be given flea preparations.

During the action, 59 animals were chipped and entered in the register of electronically tagged animals.

We would like to thank all our extremely hardworking and immensely involved in the efforts to sterilize animals the team. Your teamwork and determination make it possible to perform such an enormously large number of treatments.

Akcja w gminie Dąbrównie

Action in the commune of Dąbrówno

Another operation of the sterile bus 2 is behind us. This time we were at home in Dąbrówno. It made us feel much more comfortable. The action was organized with the financial support of the Head of the Dąbrówno Commune, our Association and partially paid for by the owners of the animals.

Our team of people and doctors did their best again. During two days, June 12 and 13, 2021, 70 animals were operated on:

- 26 bitches,

- 15 dogs,

- 15 cats (including five pregnant),

- 14 males.

35 animals were chipped.

The vast majority of animals that ended up on the operating table were well-groomed and clean. However, there were also those with flocks of fleas running on their bodies. About a year and a half, the female had purulent inflammation of the uterus. She was lucky enough to have surgery because it saved her life. Another had lumps on the milk bar, another had adhesions of organs with the spleen. There was also a dog that was shot with an air rifle. Pellets were taken out and the wound was secured.

We are pleased that so many people are involved in the organization of the campaign. We thank our President Magdalena, without whose determination we were not where we are, Sylwia - action coordinator, Marta, Justyna, Kuba, Marcin, Kasia, Ela, Aldona. We have very experienced and hardworking doctors, Dr. Mariusz and Dr. Marysia, and technician Ania.

We know with you that we can do it for sure. We are not afraid to organize actions. We would like to thank Ola and our guest Petra for their help in action. We would like to thank Monika and Marcin, Magda and Petra as well as Mrs. Zdzisi and Irena for the delicious, home-made meals that strengthened our team.

On Saturday, the TV crew RzeczJasna TV visited us. The footage made during the action will be released soon. The guests solemnly presented us with the award we received. The Golden Light Bulb statuette for the organization of 2020 of the Ostróda poviat is already in our hands! We are particularly proud of this award. This is the result of the tremendous work of all members of our Association.
